Two smiling children hanging upside down

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why should my child take gymnastics lessons?

Gymnastics at every level builds character beyond athletics. The mind-body connection that gymnastics movement requires helps all children developmentally, and classes further their ability to learn in a structured environment. Studies have proven that gymnastics builds grit, determination, courage, persistence, and a growth mindset. All characteristics that are vital to growing successful, independent children.

  • What age can my child start gymnastics?

We have Toddler classes that are appropriate for children as young as 18 months. Our classes are first divided by age but sometimes we select students for classes based on ability.

  • Snow Day Policies

    1. By default, Bounce is OPEN for class if there is a SCHOOL START DELAY. We will be in touch with you and customers at least 2 hours before any actual AM closure decision is made based on a school delay.
    2. When there is a nearby school closure, Bounce considers CLOSING for class. We will reach out if a cancellation is necessary.
    3. Because Colorado's weather can change drastically from AM to PM, we will reassess the situation by 2PM to make a decision for the PM classes and whether or not they should be cancelled. You will be notified by 2PM on the cancellation day in question.
  • Do you offer a free trial class?

Our tuition is month-to-month and there is no obligation to continue. Many children take a couple classes to get accustomed to a new environment with a group setting doing something new.

  • Do you allow drop-ins?

No drop-ins. Students must be enrolled to participate in classes or Open Gym.

  • What should my child wear for gymnastics class?

In gymnastics, kids are frequently going upside down. Students should wear athletic apparel that will not cover their face or hinder their movement. Girls frequently wear leotards, but are not necessary. Bare feet only in the gym, and long hair must be pulled back out of their face. No jewelry  - it's not safe.

  • Why does my tuition change for certain months?

Not all months have the same number of days. This creates the scenario that  some months have more or fewer Mondays, Tuesdays, etc. We invoice members for the number of days in the month their class will meet. Most frequently it will be four classes per month, but sometimes it will be three or five.

  • What happens if we miss a class?

Your child's spot in class is held regardless of attendance. We do not offer make ups if a student misses their scheduled class time.

However, if Bounce must cancel your class for any reason, a make up class will be offered. This is typically for a weather-related reason.

  • What is the billing schedule & method?

Bounce charges accounts on the 25th every month for the following month of gymnastics; payments are made on the first of every month. The days in between charging and payment help customers who do not wish to continue into the next month to withdraw from their class, thereby opening a new space so we can work through our waitlists.

Payments are set up via a secure online customer portal. Policy agreements are received upon enrollment.

All other classes have a max size of 10.

  • What is included in the registration fee?

We have an annual registration per family (not per child) that covers our administrative costs and secondary accident insurance coverage we carry on active student members.

  • When can I register for Summer Camps or Summer Classes?

Summer Camps - Our registration for summer camps begins in January. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required for each week of camp you want to register for per child. We offer a 10% sibling discount.

Summer Classes - Priority registration begins April 27 for current students and families on our waitilsts. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required for each child. Registration to the public begins May 4.

  • Why are there waitlists?

We limit our class sizes to create a better learning experience for the students and a more efficient structure for our instructors to teach.  We continually check our classes for openings and quickly call families on the waitlist.

  • What kind of class management should I expect?

With our long history in gymnastics, we know there are so many wonderful things young children learn from participating in sports. At Bounce, we know that often we are the first organized class many of our students experience. We take this responsibility seriously and strive to balance the fun of gymnastics with those early life lessons that sports can teach. Your child will learn how to wait for their turn, listen and follow directions, and share a space with other children; all of which are critical for keeping everyone safe during class. These are also skills that will be required of them in school and society -- our goal is to start that learning behavior in a fun environment.

In order to achieve this, if a child is not listening or following directions and it reaches a point of being unsafe or a serious distraction to the rest of the class, we might ask the child to take a short time out. If a child displays aggressive behavior to another child, we will ask the child to take a time out. Our goal is to use these situations as learning moments with the goal of teaching them why certain behaviors are not allowed and how to respond appropriately. Safety is always our first concern.

If your child is communicating with you about situations you feel need addressing or clarification, we encourage you to talk with their teacher. If you would prefer not to address their teacher for any reason, please reach out to the manager on duty and we will gladly help you and address your concerns.

Once again, it is an honor to teach your child and we are so grateful for your trust.

  • Sibling/Multiple Class Discount

Bounce Gymnastics discounts 5% from the more expensive tuition.
